ahoj ivo!

nikola has a new hair this morning and she is not very happy that i moved to your table (she probably doesn't want to sit by martina). the IT guy is fixing martina's computer right now and i have to tell you it is quite interesting to see because it is YOUR computer... which means dragan couldn't get what he wanted and was left with his old ibook.

talking about dragan, I got to hate him even more this weekend. you know... when i first got in the agency one of my first jobs was to do an adaptation of a GE tvspot. me and dragan had adela and aneta as accounts and i really don't know for what stupid reason dragan told me back then that both of them didn't speak english. iva... i spent seven months believing i couldn't talk to them!! and Iva... aneta seems to LOVE to speak english!

but anyways... about the whole trip...
dasa and the other girl from client's side went with us by train on friday. the guy went by car and we met him just before dinner on that same night. everybody got a separated room at the hotel and production company even left a gift for us, it was a small package with a bratislava map, an alcoholic beverage and some sweet tiny
cake. so on friday night we went to an argentinean restaurant for dinner and since tamchyna only talks to me when he is drunk, by eight o'clock he was already pretty drunk considered how much we talked! it is quite sad that we can only have nice talks when he's wasted, you know? and specially on friday night when we talked about so many nice and important things regarding work, you know? i would really like him to remember those things but i already know he doesn't. it was the first time he asked me what i thought about our group, his job as a group head and so on. oh well...

maly and his producer (the cute curly hair guy) joined us for dinner as well as that other guy, i think he's the executive producer brano (short, blonde and kinda overweight). maly left as soon as he finished his food and the others stayed with us until we left to a bar around 10 o'clock. the bar was really close to the hotel and
besides me who left around one o'clock... the others remained there. i got to know later that the client (the man) got really really drunk and didn't want to stop partying. it seems adela had to convince him by almost four in the morning that it was time for him to go to bed.

so on the next morning was shooting day. we left the hotel around eight thirty and when we got to location it was already busy! the location was just by the river which means it was cold like hell. and besides being cold, it was muddy like hell as well! soldier was a beautiful shooting, Iva! the whole process of building the environment was something memorable to watch. maly was gorgeous as you can imagine but he was also so deeply involved with everything! it was something special to see, i don't know... he seems to absolutely love what he does and the concentration he gives and has... jesus...! soupa told me that he and the producer (the curly hair guy) have been working together for more than ten years and that they've met each other at film school. soupa also told me that back then maly was studying to be a camera man :) a camera man to a
director position... that's how much he improved :)

we had a break for lunch between the soldier and the punk shooting. the location for the punk girl was just by the soldier and we just had to move about 400meters. i have to confess that of the three girls my least favorite was the punk one. i don't actually know why but it's just a feeling. it was afternoon and it was even colder than morning. punk girl didn't take as much time as the soldier one and just when you called we (client and agency people) were sitting inside the caravan having a meeting about the print visuals. i talked to you and just when i walked back in i got to know (and you won't believe this) but client wants the exactly same layout from the tender visuals for the print ads. exactly like that with only bodycopy in gray color. dasa (the woman) asked my opinion at some point and it almost made me cry. oh iva... deep inside i felt i couldn't be more happy than that!! it was also on this meeting that adela mentioned it would be nice to have you doing the changes on the bodycopy and everybody agreed. you know... at least in thought and in heart you were always there with us :)

we didn't have break for dinner but between punk girl and mechanic we went back to the hotel for 45 minutes of rest and cleaning bathrooms :) when the drivers took us to mechanic location... GOD, it was really really dark and really really cold and really really muddy (even worst than morning). client, accounts, soupa and tamchyna
stayed inside the caravan during the whole mechanic girl shooting and i think we were half way done when they all started drinking vodka with orange juice. i stayed with curly hair guy almost the whole shooting and maly even asked for my opinion two times (kinda a miracle i would say). i was running out of battery on my camera so i almost got any photos of the mechanic girl shooting - which is sad Iva because it was my favorite one! it was unbelievable! seriously! the mechanic girl (the actual girl who played the hero) was perfect. she was adorable and she was meant for that. it felt like she was a mechanic in real life, you know? and the lightning ... oh the lightning iva.... it was gorgeous!!

it was close to nine o 'clock when we left the location and went back to the hotel to change before dinner. soupa was really nice because he even took me on his arms all the way from the caravan to the car so i wouldn't get my shoes dirty :) for dinner we went to an italian restaurant and only curly hair guy and the director of photography joined us. curly hair told us maly was really tired and i am sure he was! during dinner i got to know that curly hair is married and has a kid. curly hair was sitting in front of me so we talked for awhile. curly hair then also told me he and maly are quite close friends and that maly has also a kid... curly hair even mentioned their kids were born around the same time. so maly is not only taken as he's also a father :)

dinner was okay but the production people were really tired. and one really nice thing we heard was curly hair and photography director saying they were sincerely happy with the shooting and that they think it is not only a nice project as it is gonna be a beautiful one when it's ready :)

after dinner curly hair and photography director walked with us till some bar when they called for the night. me, adela, aneta, soupa, tamchyna, dasa and the other client girl stayed at this bar where tamchyna met some friends of him from when he used to live in bratislava and around two o'clock me and adela left to the hotel while the others stayed. by sunday morning we left bratislava around nine in the morning and aneta, soupa, tamchyna and dasa were still awake from the night before. yes, iva... they got on the train straight back from coming from a dancing bar and yes,... they kept drinking all the way to prague. after we got in prague they all left for lunch and i went home because i had some freelance stuff from bordel website to do. and that was it, i guess!

ah! one other thing i discovered on this trip was that the cute guy from agency's financial department has a band! soupa said they are quite famous and i just got their website! (www.southpaw.cz) oh! and the photos from cervarix i finally placed here.

i am missing johnny here, Iva! and mirka hasn't come from the dog's house yet! i am anxious to see her again! how are you doing over there?!
